Are you looking for someone to critique your picture book manuscript? 

Do you have an easy reader that wasn't so easy to write and
now you need some feedback? 

I've always appreciated thoughtful feedback on my own work, so my goal is to
give the same to you! I'd be happy to review your picture book or easy reader manuscript.
For each critique, I'll start with a "Big Picture" overview (including what IS working);
then I'll move on to a line-by-line review and consider:

	Terry gets assistance critiquing a manuscript.

• Theme
• Plot structure and development
• Pacing
• Character assessment and development
• Writing style
• Dialogue
• Language

Rates
$4.50 per page ($45.00 minimum).
20% discount on the same (revised) manuscript.

Payment Method
Money orders are welcome. PayPal is now accepted.

A Word of Caution
A critique does not guarantee publication but will give you points of craft to consider
in the revision process.

	•	Manuscripts must be typed (12-pt. font in Times New Roman or Courier New)
	•	Double-spaced
	•	Margins of 1-1.25"
	•	For books with chapters, begin each chapter on a new page

Manuscript Lengths
Picture books: 1-8 typewritten pages (up to 1000 words) for ages 2-6 years
Picture story books: 6-9 typewritten pages (1500-2250 words) for ages 6-9 years
Easy Readers: 2-20 typewritten pages (75-5000 words) for ages 5-8 years

Contact me by emailing me at terry@terrypiercebooks.com . Please write "MANUSCRIPT CRITIQUE" in the subject line. After we've cyber-chatted about your work, I'll let you know the cost based on the abovementioned rate.  Once I receive payment, I'll notify you and you can send me your manuscript (sorry, but I'd like to have it sent via post.  No electronic submissions).  I'll give you an approximate date for when to expect your work returned to you.
